Description
An acrylic-copolymer-based paint designed to prevent condensation forming on the paint film in damp spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens; also readily usable in baby rooms and all interiors thanks to its warm surface and velvety texture.
Properties
Its insulating micro glass beads create a double-glazing effect (glass/air/glass), forming an insulating film. With 3.5× lower heat transmission than other paints, it prevents water-vapour condensation on the paint film and helps prevent heat loss. Gives a matte patterned look and a warm surface. Beyond its thermal/insulation, anti-condensation and breathability properties, it is friendly to health and the environment. Excellent adhesion to all surfaces; does not crack or peel.
Application area
Used as a problem-solver in damp spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens; recommended for baby rooms because its surface is warmer than other paints. However, must not be applied to surfaces in constant direct contact with water, such as shower edges.
Application method
Clean the surface; lightly sand old synthetic surfaces and de-dust. Level with Dyorit/fillers, then prime with Dyobinder (never insulation primers). For a colour change, one coat of DYO Transfer Primer. Thin 10% with water; roller, 2 coats — or 3 to boost the anti-condensation effect; ≥6 h between coats.
